Light Light is a form of energy. It travels in a straight line. Reflection of light When a ray of light falls on a shining surface, the direction of the light changes. This change of direction of the ray by a shining surface is called reflection of light. In the phenomenon of reflection, the light bends back into the same medium. Mirrors Any polished or shining surface which can reflect light i.e. change the direction of light can act as a mirror. Types of mirrors. 1. Plane mirrors : When we stand infront of a plane mirror we see our image. Our image is of the same size and height as we are. In other words, a plane mirror makes an upright image of an object. The size of the image is the same as that of the object. However, you must havve noticed that the right hand of yours appears as the left hand of the image and vice-versa. This phenomena is called lateral inversion. 2. Concave mirror Take a stainless steel spoon. Bring its inner
